Are we ever going to see this Corsair Link thing in UK stores? Its seems to have been on the way forever now.

If the technology trickles down into the lower end/wattage AX series PSUs i might pick one up.

This review reminded me of the competition, hehe. I would love to try the technology if there would be a AX650i or something, or I'll just have to wait until the prices drop a bit.

As good as this may seem, Corsair have raised the bar on the price of a high end PSU. This will no doubt filter down to the less powerful models.

The link and self diagnostic features are a good idea I think, always good to know if something is on its way out.

Re: Reviews - Corsair AX1200i Digital ATX Power Supply

Missed this review, just happened to click on a Hexus ad and saw this behemoth! Its practically a computer in itself, just needs a USB and HDMI port, you dont need the rest.

You are going to need one hell of a chassis to fit this. I can already tell you that a Fractal Design XL is not going to be big enough. My Enermax Revolution is a Width of 190mm, while I got it in, it took ages to get the modular configuration right in order to fit PSU and cables in, I had to make some sacrifices as well. Not ideal but dont plan on running with it long term.

A lot of chassis while good in width for the PSU, are not always that great in height.

As soon as IvyBridge-E is here something like this might be part of my build.
Looking forward to the competitions response to this - there's a lot of benefit in monitoring your PSU usage and health.

    Rigs:
Main: ASUS P6T7 WS Supercomputer, i7 980, 24GB Corsair Dominator GT, OCZ Vectors + HDDs, Inno3D GTX 980 iChill Herculez X4 Air Boss Ultra, Seasonic X-850W, Fractal Design Define XL, 10 x64 Pro, Noctua DH14 + stock chassis fans
