I was contemplating this for my HTPC, thank you for this review it has made my mind up on it, hell no to that I was expecting better, I would slap a corsair hydro series in the HTPC but unfortunately the case I use does leave that option open to me...

Re: Reviews - Sapphire Vapor-X Universal CPU Cooler

I wonder if the vapour tech isn't so great, because the plate (and hence liquid/vapour) is on its side. So for example the vapour rises to the top, which is only then cooled by 1 or 2 of the cooling pipes. The rest are still in liquid.

Don't get me wrong, same issues for other cooling techs, just wonder if the vapour benefits are negated by this more so than others.

There's always the old oil in a fishtank solution. Looks cool and runs cold and you can't hear a damn thing
Only problem it's a kind of build it once, rebuild.... umm... you wanna try and clean up all that oil?

That doesn't make sense, surely as long as you have a 120mm or larger fan inside the case you can fit one...
If you cant, I doubt an air cooled HSF will help much :S

Re: Reviews - Sapphire Vapor-X Universal CPU Cooler

This cooler performs great. I have it and temps dont exceed 68c @ 4,8ghz so I really dont understand your temps. Your temps seem really high for alot of coolers... loads of reviews on other sites show the Vapor X performs brilliantly and I can agree. So why is this review so incorrect? why are you stating the temps of the CPU push 80c when OC'd to 4,4ghz? XD this is simply not true... I think you need a new 3770k because that thing is burning up.
