well, if you find that your airflow just doesnt cut it you can always strap on some noctua ultra silent fans right?

If it requires good case airflow what's the point of being passive

Guess there is a lot of silent case fans out there that you could use to supplement this. Less options on graphics cards.

I have to say that I have not been able to achieve satisfactory noise levels with my powercolor scs3 HD6850 - my case fan needs to be on quite high and even then I can only keep the card at around 90 degrees. Not ideal!
