I get what the target market of the RoG boards is, but I am none-the-wiser having read this review who Asus are aiming thus TUF series at. Am I missing something?

I really dislike the horrible browny green colours on these boards. They don't go with any other components.

Prefer the Sabertooth 990FX board. It looks better, doesn't cost twice as much as other 990FX boards but holds the same Sabertooth designs...

Not sold on this look at all. I much prefer to be able to see all the components underneath but I can imagine it would look decent in the right case. Bit expensive though.

Waste of money, as is the Z77 Sabertooth. I'd much rather pay £40 less and not have the gimmicky 'thermal armour'.

There are plenty of other boards around the same price range, indeed there are boards more than twice the price.
It's exactly the same price as the MPower which is a very popular board.

Sure, if you don't need the features then it isn't worth it, but for those that appreciate the features it is.

Not my thing tbh it reminds me of someone I know of that always builds their rigs black and grey they look like they should be in an undertakers very boring, But I do like the ROG boards though I've got 3 rigs with ROG boards, I hate to think how much my gaming rig cost me

If you heavily overclock then I think this is where the bigger difference will be and you would have to be really pushing the limits to see the full gain. If you mildly overclock or dont overclock at all but still want a performance good quality board you are in a better position to choose a board based on other features such as onboard audio, amount of PCIe, position of PCIe, dual LAN etc... etc...
