Mine's already on the way
oh look , wheres the AM3+ cpu`s.....
Left in the dust!
But seriously I think they are only looking at chips with an IGP.
Plenty of sites that have made the comparison:

8350 is good in apps, not so good in games.
Will the next CPU from Intel be socket 1150? or will a new motherboard be required with the next CPU released?
All indications are that it will be socket 1150, although currently described rather vaguely as Haswell refresh.
Thanks Willzzz, i'm sitting on the fence at the moment regarding an upgrade, looking for anything that will push me to upgrade.
In fairness, how many 'enthusiasts' will bother with VT? With that kind of work role, you're really not going to bother with overclocking, so the K chip isn't what you're going to go for anyway. Although I admit it's an odd thing to omit just for unlocked multiplier, but not a big deal regardless.
Not a huge improvement over my i5 3570K.. I will only upgrade to Extreme edition of Haswell.
The power draw is good, but other than that this generation is decidedly 'meh' for someone who uses discrete graphics. Seriously confused now whether to upgrade to Haswell, or save some money and go for IB... If they'd included Thunderbolt in Haswell I'd definitely go for that, but otherwise I'm really not seeing anything convincing either way

To be honest you don't save that much on IB, a 3570K is £179 on Scan and I picked up my 4670K for a mere pound extra.
Keep your eye out for bargains though, Amazon had a 3570K for £150 not long ago, but it's back up to £173 today.
Spending an extra £7 on Haswell is well worth it, you'll barely notice it against the total cost of a PC.
Ive had my 4670K for just about 2 weeks and having upgraded from a 3570K I can honestly say there is a slight and noticeable difference. With a decent motherboard this is more apparent so running mine in a msi Z87-GD65 Gaming . I think if overall you have a decent 3570K with a good board then no need to change but if you do go for a decent or mid range board and the slight differences are apparent if your a enthusiast like myself.
I thought the K series had VT-x but only missing vT-D and vT-C both of which require the Q87 chipset which is for workstations and business, NO OC?
going from an i7 920 at stock to the i5 4670k and I plan to overclock. It should be a decent upgrade for me and then when 14nm comes in 2015 I'll upgrade again then.
