A cheaper chipset gets the TuF treatment.

Hang on....you can get a Z87 from ASRock or MSI, both having good reviews for ~£70 from Scan....

I don't understand its price point.

I suppose the argument might be that some people will prefer the better quality power stages etc that (presumably) are standard across the TUF range (although the VRM heatsinks look very weedy compared to the ones on my sabertooth 990 albeit FX is much more power hungry).

Its a shame hexus didn't try some old school FSB overclocking on this board - assuming thats even possible on modern intel chips?

Not really - you can increase the BLK by a few percent only on non 'K' intel processors, that's it...

Whats the point of this motherboard though?? The heatsinks would make sense if you are overclocking but you cannot overclock with the motherboard, and Intel made sure the overclocking loophole was removed anyway.

I suppose some non overclockers might be attracted to the extra two year warranty? But as Agent said earlier, when you can get a Z87 board from another tier 1 manufacturer for the same price, why bother...

People like me who might have a bit of OCD when it comes to cooling even nearly a decade ago when it was not strictly necessary. In case it adds even those couple percentage points of reliability/stability.

Adhesive memory heatsinks on the GeForece MX440? Check
Clip on heatsinks for DDR333 RAM? Check
Southbrige heatsink with 40mm fan? Check
Hard drive caddy with dual fans? Check
80mm fan for a Linksys WRT54GS router? Check

So while the motherboard and its role in the market may be questionable, I certainly welcome more cooling apparatus wherever it is even remotely suitable.
