Wouldn't touch a Corsair USB stick after a Voyager GT USB3 died on me. Was a refurb, so no support but expected better and it was a very common fault

It'll get expensive when they are easily lost. I often pick up forgotten USB memory sticks in the labs at university and hand them in at the helpdesk. It happens a lot.

I had exactly the same issue. Bought 2 32gb sticks. One lasted less than 6 months. The other one is still working but I never use it for anything important now. Just to connect to my TV to watch movies etc.

Another with a dead Voyager GT USB3 after a couple of months. Corsair weren't interested at all.

Also had an older Voyager where the USB port simply fell off (didn't even bother attempting an RMA that time as the build on the internals was very poor and I didn't want another, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt when buying the above GT USB3).

Judging by this and some of the poor budget PSUs Corsair are starting to push out, you have to start questioning them.

Considering the price one might opt for a regular 128/256GB SSD and a USB3 2.5" enclosure instead. Cheaper and faster, although perhaps not quite as "portable".

poor quality, the plastic bit holding the lanyard broke off and lost my USB stick, not happy, made of cheap plastic and poor workmanship

I can recommend the San disk extreme. Mines about 18 months now and works a treat.
