Been eying this case up since it was announced a while back as it seems to be the smallest full ATX case out there as they have finally removed the 5.25 drive bay and shrank the depth of the case.

Can't be bothered to transplant my machine again any time soon tho

Nice looking case, but while I don't need any optical drives I do need somewhere to put a fan controller.

Ha! Ordered mine yesterday! On a mission to revitalise my i7 920 to get another few years out of it.

I find the internal layout/design a bit stupid.

They supposedly made this case with people in mind who use closed loop coolers. However there is not enough space for a push/pull fan setup at the front/top, unless you want to trim/remove the shiny cable duct cover.
They should have made the case a few cm longer and taller, which should then give you enough clearance for push/pull fan setups and also 2 x 140mm fans/280mm radiator at the top.
I also don't like that they neglected to filter the top/rear fans, which would have been sensible in my opinion for setups that have a radiator in the front. It's not like anyone actually wants to pull hot air from the front through the entire case and then out the back, when one can just push it out the front.

As for the lack of 5.25" bays, a bus powered USB DVD recorder costs < £20 delivered and does a sensible job (for me).

The only thing I personally like about the S340 is that it looks so damn pretty. Did I mention that I bought one because of its looks.

    Re: Nzxt s340

This has been my main case for the last month or so. It bugs me reading about the push pull, I have had a H100i in the front of the case and there is room to put one push fan in the top and because of the angle of the cable tidy plate you can put push/pull on the bottom of the radiator, I even managed to add the pull fan while the radiator was installed. You could also put a 120mm rad with push pull in the front bottom of the case or in the rear of the case but the top mount is only suitable for an exhaust fan as it only has a small gap to the motherboard.

This case is one serious chunk of metal and one thing worth mentioning is that the side, front and back panel are perfectly flat making them really easy to sand and paint, you could quite easily paint this case any colour you wish with minimal effort.

    Great price point for this.

HEXUS, not including a reset button is surely not a bad thing? Who the hell uses the reset button these days? I'm 99.9% sure, I never used mine once last year

    Re: Nzxt s340

I've had the case since it first hit the UK. It's a pretty nice case and very clean and easy to work with in my opinion.

    Here's my build:

    Build log for anyone interested.

Waiting for the GTX960 release to possibly go for an upgrade as the GPU is the weakest link in my build. Also replaced the cooler with a fanless Coolermaster V8 because I prefer the look but I haven't taken any pictures.
