I was bang on with my £160 estimate for a launch price then
Just waiting for the £200 Ti variant and I'll start buying lottery tickets again.
Great article, thanks.
However, expect 960 Ti folks, its really obvious that this card cannot beat 760 even with OC it struggles to keep up, so a 4GB version will be available with 256-bit bus with 960 Ti, this one is like 170-180$ and the TI will be priced at 250-260$ which will give you GTX 770 performance on stock clocks and closer to 780 when heavily OCed.
This is not the upgrade you were looking for!!!!
Move along!!
My directCU ii is kind of rubish,i get good temps but it hovers on the thermal paste ,has only 4 screws -the ones with springs.
I think you'd only really consider this as an upgrade if you were on something rather old. Worth considering for a new build, might be neat in a mini pc build with the low power output. A well priced 285 could be a better buy if you care about freesync.
Bit underwhelming really. Whos stupid idea was the narrow 128 bit bus as they need shooting.
Yeah GTX970 is still the sensible (!) choice from nVidia's current offerings.
Quiet underwhelming in fact.
I didn't expect this re-writing mid-level gaming, I however expected there to be a distinct increase in performance, I'm more likely to describe this as 'a little bit quicker than a 760' as opposed to 'quicker than a 760'. Also, it costs too much because of that. Scan has 960's starting at £160 and quickly jumping up when 280x's can be had for about that. I know where I would spend my money.
Also, I'm personally disappointed as this means there won't be an influx of second hand 760's! I was hoping to pick up a second
You won't be getting mine as I passed it to my son so he could go SLI
I had planned to hold on for the 960 but ended up spending £135 on an R9 280 as it could run 3 monitor Eyefinity without an unreliable display port adapter. Looking at this review I am happy with my decision.
Rather disappointing. I wouldn't even say it's a little bit quicker than a 760. I would say it's just barely quicker than a 760. Guess I'll keep my GTX750 Ti for now.
It's like they purposely messed up this card because these stats are horrendous!
...No
Just...no.
Okay AMD.
What you got?
Looking fancy, though I had hoped for more than 2 GBs of VRAM...
