    Re: Zotac GeForce GTX 980 Ti AMP! Extreme

    Aside from the performance, the 5 year warranty is swaying me in favour of this card. However, I can't find too much information on the QUALITY of Zotac support. Does anyone have any insight that may be helpful? Thanks

    WELL worth the price. I normally go for mid range decent cards (Asus mostly), but the overclocks for this make it worth the extra money - 20/30% at "stock", even more when OC'ed, this is redonk

    @JonRT
    I've had two ZOTAC GTX 760 AMP's running in SLi since they came out and never had a problem with them. Also installed another SLi setup and a single one in other machines a few years back and they're fine too.

    The 5 year warranty was what swayed me to them originally and when I find a way to afford one of these monsters I'll be getting one.
    While I've never had need to contact their support I know they favour you going through the retailer for the warranty during the standard period. I can't recall how the extended warranty period works although it's easy to register.

    Any chance you could take the cooler off so we can see the VRM/VRAM cooling plate? Looking at getting this for use with a Kraken G10 but want to make sure there will be sufficient cooling to the VRM!

    AwesomeSauce on Youtube was trying to fully waterblock this card, but couldn't as he couldn't get the VRM/VRAM cooling plate off. You can get a decent look at it here: https://youtu.be/EdXycmVDwmY?t=629

    Thanks for that video but if you check the backplate it is only the standard Amp Edition not the extreme. I checked the begining of the video and it shows the box and it does indeed confirm that it is only the Amp Edition.

    I would imagine the coolers are fairly similar but I don't really want to spend £600 on a GPU only to have to return it because the VRMs have direct contact with the cooler or something similar.

    The Arctic storm of this GPU did not do that well in cooling

    Did this card have any coil whine at all?

    I got one of these off Ncix.com, and it does not have any coil whine. Only problem was that the card didn't have the decal on the front or the back (but, it doesn't bother me) . However, it gets to 1450mhz boost clocks without overclocking.

    I think this is the best GTX980TI ever, excellent performance, great OC possibilities and gorgeous design

    Is Hexus going to review the GTX 980 Ti HOF by Galax?

    I'm in the market for a White 980 Ti and it's between the G1 Gaming vs The HOF Galax

    any recommendations?
