    Re: Razer Mamba (2015)

Go on, I'll be that guy.

£135 is too much money for a mouse, in my opinion.

I currently use a logitech G600, which is £60 and what I would class as a mid to to end mouse. (I only paid £30 as there was a voucher at the time but I was happy to pay £60)

I appreciate this is wireless and that there is always a premium on Razer products (...for some reason?) and it is clearly the top mouse offered, but more than double my mouse? I struggle to see the justification personally.

Also, regarding the sensor increasing in single DPI, if anyone says they can notice a single DPI different at 8,000 in a game or in anything less than purely synthetic, I have a geordie phrase for them:

    "Haddaway"

    - There is lengthened version which includes a word I'm not allowed to use and is much more appropriate but as this is a family friendly forum and I abide by the rules I have not included it

What utter rubbish, it's most certainly a gimmick feature.

I would love one of these but spending £135 or £80 for a mouse is probably considered grounds for a divorce.

    Re: Razer Mamba (2015)

I really used to like Razer and appreciate that they're aiming at the high end market. But, their pricing has gone beyond a joke now even when you take into account this is their flagship mouse. I was looking for a mouse relatively recently to replace an ageing Razer Lachesis so naturally had a look at their offerings. Everyone single one was overpriced compared to the competition which offered either more functionality or costed less. I went with a Corsair in the end and saved about 40 quid. So yeah - I'll stand with you Jowsey as 'that guy'

Honestly - don't see how it is a gaming mouse with so few buttons. The Logitech G600 is a gaming mouse - having that many buttons on your mouse makes gaming a breeze..

    Re: Razer Mamba (2015)

Stopped reading at battery not being replaceable

Razer are an absolute travesty when it comes to reliability, and the second it goes out of warranty they will tell you to take a run and jump. You'd have to be tapped in the head to buy this.

Damn I miss the Imperator, best mouse I ever had, even if it did break more often than a Peugeot

It depends on what game(s) your playing. I find 5 buttons to be plenty for everything I play.

    BUT....One hundred and thirty-five pounds - For a mouse?

I have paid £100 for an almost unbreakable keyboard and that took a lot of personal persuading.....anything above £40 for a mouse is seriously in the "Have you won the lottery?" category.

    I haven't read the review.

    I don't need to.

I saw the price and, once I stopped laughing, I left.

I think the most I've spent on a mouse is a about £15. I honestly struggle to understand why anyone would spend £135 on one.

    Re: Razer Mamba (2015)

Having had both the Razer mamba in the past along with my current Ourbourous I can easily advise to stay well away from these overpriced products.

Had Razer mice for the past god knows how long and they all play up when booting the various systems I've had. Never again.

    Re: Razer Mamba (2015)

I used to have the older 2012 Mamba, and I agree that 8 hours isn't enough life for the battery. I may have to look at replacing my 2013 Deathadder with a new Mamba if its battery does actually survive for longer than 8 hours.

    Re: Razer Mamba (2015)

I would never EVER buy Razer again, there are better & cheaper brands out there for FPS gaming Zowie cant be beaten and Roccat for functionality and reliability, and I love the weight management of the Roccat. I got the Zowie EC1 and the Roccat XTD
