    Re: Corsair SF600 SFX PSU

Thread resurrection... I just bought a Silverstone SFX series 500W modular modular PSU.

Bit more than I usually pay, but I'm trying to sort out the airflow in my wife's PC and by now just want the problem to go away

The thing though that drew me back to this thread, in the box there is the usual Silverstone ATX adapter plate and screws. But there *isn't* a cable bag. That is actually a bit annoying, guess I will put spares in my Novatech cable bag which is pretty empty and the cables are distinctively different. The PSU itself comes wrapped in bubble wrap, that's fine as I always think the fancy PSU bags are a bit wasteful but it might annoy some.

So they saved every penny they could on bags, but they included an adapter plate. Guess it isn't just me that uses them (I will be using this one). Mind you, this is an SFX-L format which is a bit bigger than proper SFX but allows for a bigger fan, so perhaps it is more likely that these will get used as an ATX substitute.

The Corsair should have been in the running here, a 450W unit was a few pounds less which even adding in a fiver for the adapter plate isn't a big deal. But I am a sucker for a bigger fan size, wonder if it actually helps.
