It would be useful if Hexus would mention the details of the warranty offered by each manufacturer. Things like duration of warranty, whether it's handled directly or through retailers, UK or overseas RMA, and so on, would all be useful to know. I know there's a sticky somewhere which gives something of a comparison between manufacturers, but I don't know how up to date it is.
MrJim,
It's a sticky in the Graphics Cards section:

For what it's worth, I'm using a Palit 980 Super Jetstream which was a warranty replacement (with additional contribution) for a 780 Super Jetstream which had a fault. Scan dealt with the return, which was a bit of a pain at the time as I had to find a game where I could reproducibly make the card die and which they had available to them to test - it was a rather insidious fault that only reared its head in certain games but would hard lock the machine. Anyway, I eventually found a game that they also had which they could test to reproduce the error, which they duly did and I got the replacement then without any further hassle, so happy punter. The Palit 980 has been rock solid and very quiet, good card.
When it revs up, what's the decibel level? If you get up close and listen hard, you will occasionally hear it rev-up in response to temperature fluctuation
Can we really justify £600 to £700 plus cards given the performance they give.
I think Parm means that the fan header sticks out like a SORE thumb, not a SAW thumb!
Some people have hammer toes, so why not a saw thumb LOL
I think this card is designed for people without case windows. It looks like it fell from the ugly tree, and hit every branch on the way down.
I always have to go looking at the photos when people think something is ugly, and usually I'll disagree - but that thing is awful
I agree it doesn't look visually appealing, but for me it's far outweighed by the noise & cooling performance. Shame it's out of my price range!
No comparison to titan X or 295x2?
Those on the "bleeding edge" probably have the high end cards, so it'd be useful to compare this to the aforementioned cards, no?
not like much![]()
