I have the NZXT's H440 and its a great case , but this one does look nice .
"The first question we need to ask is what would we want from an H440 successor?"
Actually the first question I'd want to ask is, £200!..why?
Because I see absolutely nothing that justifies a near doubling of the price, nothing at all.
Why is it so hard to find 4 x USB 3 front panel?
How do you make a fan controller need an internet connection? Who asked for that?
Having tried CAM previously I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, its truly dreadful piece of software.
What's the deal with that big red strip? (Didn't see it mentioned as I skimmed over the review.)
Also, "Build quality has moved forward, with NZXT taking a more upmarket approach by ensuring an all-steel construction."... I thought aluminium was considered upmarket, and steel cheap and cheerful... have things flipped around since I last bought a case 10 years ago?
USB C ports would have been nice, and really should be compulsory at this point; but I find it inexcusable for any PC case or laptop to offer USB 2 ports at this point in time.
Why no pics showing the top of the case???
It's not wearing one!!
Nah, it's just pretty plain, with the usual I/O controls:
