    ATI's TV Wonder USB 2.0

The TV Wonder USB 2.0 is a simple product to rate. Take the multimedia hardware and software that makes an All-In-Wonder so good, give them a USB2.0 interface, enjoy high quality TV tuning and video capture simply, easily and cheaply.

Nice review. Although I think I'll wait for the DVB freeview model coming out.

theatre 200 only available in USB product?

I think the review mentioned that the Theatre 200 is available in lots of AIW and TV Wonder products. I don't think the latter part of this statement is correct. I think the TV Wonder USB 2.0 might be the only TV Wonder product that uses this chip. I have been getting frustrated that the best ATI video/tuner only seems to be available in the AIW wonder products and in general not in the TV Tuner only products. In the TV Tuner only products, ATI seems to use different h/w or disables MMC features such as TV-On-Demand. From what I can see the TV Wonder USB 2.0 product is good from this viewpoint - it uses the Theatre 200 chip and I think supports TV-On-Demand. I just wish there was a PCI version too with this combination.

I've not been able to find this product at any of the on-line retailers I normally use either. Looks like it's going to be very difficult to get hold of :-(
