The good thing about these fancy 'Lights' is that they can be either 'on' or 'off', where 'off' means they don't actually produce any light at all!
No light, no colour, no whinging

They add costs though so we still have to pay more for things whether we switch them on or off. Personally I hate RGB.

Making a dark SKU would likely cost more, due to the low production volumes

you watch- it`ll be the next `big thing` when the marketing peeps run out of rgb ideas- fans and stuff that don`t light up, and they know that the suckers will flock to buy the new black edition, and will happily pay a premium for that "exclusivity".

    lmao.

Just don't make one with RGB then, it's easy enough to add if you wish. Even a fiver off for me would make me buy it as it would be off all the time

    So?
There are plenty of other features on kit that even fewer people want or use, but you still pay for those without complaint...

    Do you need Firewire ports?
Do you need voltage check points on your motherboard?
Do you need six HDDs in your case?
Do you need five different profiles on your mouse?
Do you need two Windows keys?
Do you need 16,400 DPI on a mouse?
Do you need that key at the top left of the board that does `and ¬ and ¦ ?

I'm one of only six people in the known universe who has ever used voltage check points on my kit... and that was ONLY because they were there and they gave me an excuse to put digital LCD meters in my case to look cool.

I agree with all those people that would like to be able to buy high performance hardware, without paying for unwanted bling that I won't see in my windowless case.

I do actually use that key at the top left, below ESC, when I play WoW.

I upgrade with whatever comes to me second-hand... which is why I often make my own LED mods.
