Well the price difference is making me seriously consider the 2700x now. I have waited for two years longer than intended to upgrade my system on the basis of waiting for price drops and new architecture based on (rumours). Was originally going to get the 8700k but then when I knew the 9th gen were coming out decided I might go for the 9700k.
Just not sure now.
