    Knowing that - in general - higher capacity SSDs are faster than their smaller capacity models, why would you compare a 1Tb-class drive against a 256Gb 950 Pro?
    Surely a 1Tb 970 EVO would be a more fair comparison?

    Very valid point. same size comparison would have been lot more useful.
