Re: WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD 1TB

Posting these results isn't really relevant to most people, would be so much better if it was compared to say the best selling drives that people actually use.
And even then maybe a time % so say a real test that real users use in the real world? maybe compare it with sata ssd's.

All i know from this review is yes its faster and more expensive but how much faster ? who knows

Nah, why benchmark stuff people actually use? We'd be informed then...They need more time to get back to 4k testing (that again, nobody uses, according to 125mil steam users <1.4% use 4k). You know, the important stuff...LOL. Review sites that test in ways that resemble what we actually do or play on our PC's are useless...Why would you want informed readers?...I digress...

... and yet from the weekly question thread so far (quick tally up to post #76) I make it 10 people on 4K vs 18 people on 1080p. The most popular by far is 1440p with 27 users.

So of the people who are likely to reply to a forum thread, ie the ones you are constantly arguing with, 1080p is the lowest they will tolerate and most of us have moved beyond it.
So yeah, review with what we game at which is 1440, or what we hope to game at which is 1440 or 4K. Include 1080 as a baseline.

But then we also want to read reviews of stuff that is desirable and often out of our reach, I've read reviews of Ferraris but not yet owned one.

Re: WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD 1TB

Something else that also grinds my gears...why compare 1Tb-class drives all round...apart from the Samsung?? The 1Tb version of that drive is MUCH faster!!

    Gah...

Also, yes - they should include a 1Tb WD Black mechanical HD as well as a 1Tb SATA SSD for ease of relevance.
