Palit GeForce GTX 1660 StormX OC

Small, compact and affordable. Exactly how GTX 1660 ought to be?

nice itx card, I prefer these over triple slot and dual fans when its not necessary.

Bit surprised to see an 8 pin power header on a card like this, esp one aimed at the small form factor market. I tend to see a lot more six pin connectors on lower-end PSUs in consumer machines, which would surely be a good fit for cards like this?

Re: Palit GeForce GTX 1660 StormX OC

My understanding is the TDP is 120W, a 6 pin, if overclocking, might be a limiting factor. It will work with a 6 pin in theory, but no harm in having an 8 pin surely to increase the power ceiling (if needed), no?

Re: Palit GeForce GTX 1660 StormX OC

I suspect the main rationale was that they have the exact same cooler design available for both the 1660 Ti and the RTX 2060 so probably they just wanted to reuse as much as possible of the compenents/production line. Even if only the RTX 2060 technically needs the 8 pin maybe it streamlines things a bit.
