    Re: X570 Aorus Xtreme Motherboard

Makes a 2080Ti look almost "keenly priced". Although to be fair they aren't really aiming for that I know, but it's a serious chunk of change for a motherboard.

id love to see the cooling on a system that could push this board to the max.

Err.... hell, yeah.... Is this a trick question?

I really do like some of the design features on this board. It looks fantastic to do a build on.
Would be nice to see some more RGB, preferably in the form of removable modules and without illuminated branding/lettering (unless it's a swappable/customisable panel).

Would like to see this pushed to the limit, it would take something special.

Overall it is built to excess to have the best of everything but it does seem gigabytes x570 line up is one of the best, settled on the Pro myself.

    Re: X570 Aorus Xtreme Motherboard

    That price is simply insane!
I wouldn't pay that much for a graphics card or processor let alone a motherboard. I remember when £100 was the cost of a high end board.

    Re: X570 Aorus Xtreme Motherboard

who is going to spend this to put an AMD Gpu on it? I thought AMD was the budget alternative, completely misses the point imo.

    Re: X570 Aorus Xtreme Motherboard

I can't believe people could actually spend that much on just the motherboard, especially when the the most expensive CPU's that will currently go into said motherboard will still be much cheaper, and even more so when considering that it is unlikely to suddenly make an AMD CPU suddenly overlock alot better than by using any motherboard that is more than 3 times cheaper. Before I saw the price, I honestly thought it was probably something around the £250-£300 range, because really, that is all it should be.

    Re: X570 Aorus Xtreme Motherboard

Very beautiful board with nice stats. The price is just too high for a mobo. I'm getting to the point where anything over $219.99 is overpriced. Wish more board makers would use 90 degree connectors.

AMD has budget alternatives still but they are solidifying their position they are an Intel competitor across all stacks.

    Re: X570 Aorus Xtreme Motherboard

If your rolling your eyes at the price I'm rolling my eyes at people whinging at the price. I think it's a fare one, even a good one. The highest end consumer PCs now cost around £3500, this board is a 1/4 cost about of that TOP of the line PC price and that is a balanced split of the overall cost.

True you ain't putting this in your pauper £1500 1080p gaming build but... and listen up... IT'S NOT WHAT IT'S FOR, ffs. If I was looking for a board for my 16/32 Ryzen and RTX 2080ti this would be a buy click straight away.

I think it's a great board at a good price and defiantly not 'gouging' anyone who has plans for a rig worthy of it.

I wonder if people would find the price extraordinary if they had just won the lottery.

You are correct, it's probably along the right lines, given what it is... in the same way that £3.5 million for a brand-new solar-powered 95' SUV motor yacht is actually a bloody good deal.

But in the latter case it's still £3.5 million which I don't have, my entire build probably cost less than this board, and it'd take me almost a year of living off baked beans before I could buy one.... So from that perspective, it's insane.

From a more balanced point, I wouldn't need the crazy high end performance, so if they started putting out regular level boards with just the X570's cool aesthetics and features for, say, £150-250, they'd be an absolute winner!
I've also never bought a motherboard new, so I actually have no experience of what is and isn't an acceptable price to me!

    Re: X570 Aorus Xtreme Motherboard

REALLY, REALLY nice board but ultimately it's a waste of money as 2nd gen Ryzens barely overclock. In some cases, they even perform worse after doing so.

    Re: X570 Aorus Xtreme Motherboard

For old-school overclockers though, it was never about spending huge amounts of money on fancy hardware to get the highest possible arbitrary numbers.

This board isn't just about overclocking; this is a marketing-led demonstration of overkill quality and the ultimate feature-set for those who want such things and can afford it.

value = Brag. My GT7 can hold over 600 watts in theory, pretty sure the 1% overclockers can use that boundary. Only LN2 users would want something this insane
