Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Super Gaming OC

Faster than GTX 1660, if memory serves.

Difficult to assess its exact value until the radio silence on RX 5500 ends. So far no availability, no review, nothing. I'm hoping for reviews before black Friday as I'm in the market.

This will be complete once we have new Radeon 55xx series.

Knowing that memory prices are going down, that GDDR6 is probably at the price point the GDDR5 was when 1660 was presented.
So, they are actually making more money on the same chip.

At 1440 I'm starting to hit the limit with VRAM (wish I'd spent the extra £30 to get a 8GB model now,) so I'm looking for a cheapish solution to that problem around Black Friday. I'm hoping RX5500 will either be a compelling purchase or at least put some steep discounts on RX 580/590 8GB cards to clear inventory.

A okay looking card, and good thermals and noise.
Now that it is out AMD need to release their 5500 card ASAP, not least if it is able to steal the thunder of this one.

Considering the cost of this, when the 590 goes on offer it'll be much more of a deal than the 1660S, It'd be nice to see the RX5500 blow the pricing structure up so that Polaris can be sold off at cost so there is finally room for navi to move across all budgets
