Surely these can be installed inside a PC too as another option.

Re: Corsair iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting Strips

Interesting, like a mini version of the Versatube stage lights. What voltage is the wall wart supplying to the controller? 12v or 5v, hopefully (opening up the possibility of supplying from the host PC).
    BH6, BX6 2.0, BE6, BE6-II 2.0, ST6-RAID, BE6-II 2.0 (again), BD7-RAID, BD7II-RAID, IC7-G, IC7 Max3, AB9 QuadGT, IX38 QuadGT. IX58... Oh, b*ll*cks. RIP Abit

    Can you suggest some?
I've had a brief look and most seem to require quite a bit of tinkering and customization.
There's something to be said for "working out-of-the-box"

I've done something similar with CableMod kits, before. Those are probably the ones I liked best, mainly because they come with UV LEDsbuilt in and the adhesive strips are also magnetic. Tack on a USB-powered RGB controller for about a tenner and you're set.

Might not work with iCUE, but then what ever does?

You also have monitors like the LG 32gk850g VA, which have ambient lighting built in. <--That one is especially good, I have to say... mainly as I've been using one since Monday last week.

Shame this isn't USB powered, and can simply get its power from a monitor USB port.

I like these but I would have thought they would have been a bit slimmer given that they have Capellix LED's.

How well would they fare in their 'naked' form against ham-fisted gamer kids like me, though?
