Got a Corsair MP510 gen 3 drive as boot in this pc and it's plenty fast enough but I was almost tempted to go Rocket
Silicon Power also fair well I feel you should try and test one of their newer drives as well
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!

Any chance Hexus can put the countries where you need to RMA the drives to?? AFAIK,Sabrent is US based.

Sure, we'll find out what the RMA deal is with Amazon, as that is one of the places you can get it from - it's an Amazon-fulfilled offering.

Which other PCIe 4.0 platform are they quoting for then?

They're not. The quoted IOPS figures are for Intel PCIe 3.0 with a Gen4 switch - https://www.sabrent.com/rocket-nvme-4-0/ - go down to specs.

Weird! A Z290 platform with a PLDA gen4 switch so basically they're running it on PCIe3 x16 slot with a $20,000 adaptor to get those figures. Ouch.

If you push them on UK consumer law, they might struggle to hold up to only one year's warranty. It's a little frustrating that companies trading in countries with consumer law like this still think they can get away with one year warranty.

I think that manufacturers warranties are voluntary, they could say 6 months if they wanted, they don't replace consumer guarantees which I think you are thinking of. And I maybe wrong but I don't think we adopted the EU 2 year warranty rule as SOGA exceeds that.

SOGA has been superceeded by the Consumer Rights Act (except for goods bought before a certain date).

Are you using the dictionary definition of warranty Vs guarantee or is there some established legal difference I'm unaware of?

Ah yes I knew the change over happened at some point.

There is a difference between warranty and guarantee but clearly you know more about it than I do. My understanding has always been a guarantee is required by the trading law of the country you are operating in whereas a warranty was voluntary. I could well be wrong of course
