I am like what is this thing going to do for me at all... only see some differences in 4K, and most people are still on 1080p and 1440p

The 3080 isn't a lower resolution gamers card, it just isn't...
It only appears that us in the UK don't want 4k gaming unlike the rest of the world!

Aren't you supposed to install a front-mounted radiator with the hoses at the bottom to avoid getting an airlock if the hoses are the highest point?

UK people always saying most gaming is at 1080p or 1440p - yet everyone else I know is gaming at much higher resolutions. The 3080 is not aimed at 1080 or 1440. DLSS and other tech is aimed at 4k to make those frame rates better. Linus Tech Tips says it, a few others say it. If you have a 2080ti now you'd better aim at a whole new system with a high res high refresh gaming panel to get best use out of it. 1080p is NOT where it is aimed at...

Other countries seem focused on spending large amounts on gaming rigs whilst we seem to not spend as much. I might not have made my point well (if indeed made it at all) but if you want a 3080 then it will need a beefy cpu, fast memory and lots of it, and more importantly game at higher than 1080p or 1440p. If you want to stick to lower resolutions then a 3080 isn't worth the money to go up from a last gen card

I mean when I built my loop I had the hoses at the bottom just because it made more aesthetic sense but I heard it should be the other way around.
If you have the hoses at the bottom, the air in the radiator just rises to the top and has no where to escape. If you have the hoses at the top, the whole radiator can gravity fill?

There are arguments both ways and gamers nexus even cut up a aio to show best orientation (in their testing/opinion)...
Personally I think the biggest issue is the amount of air in the loop, if there is too much it will cause flow/noise issues, this is something you can easily avoid in a custom loop but you're at the mercy of the filling method/liquid on aio's unless you can get a decent refillable one (harder than you think).
