From a gamer perspective I'd LOVE to have the numpad on the left. My g-keys that run down the side to the left are heavily used, and to have even more keys within easy reach for my left hand so I don't need to let go of the mouse or move my left hand over so much would be great.

From a creative perspective id love it on the left as well. Never felt natural for me to reach across my keyboard to numberpad when my hand was naturally on the left side of the keyboard most of the time. But i could actually use them for bindings if the numbpad was on the left.

I'm waiting for my Kickstarter unit to be shipped in the next batch or two. Should be soon and Mountain changed to express air shipping after a 6 week delay in the project due to making improvements in quality (was originally due to ship in August).
Can't wait to replace my Logitech G513... used to love Logitech but their new peripherals have a ton of quality issues.

As something of a Mech keyboard geek, and someone who has spent countless hours soldering/desoldering switches, I love the idea of this. I don't think the price is bad for the quality and innovation on offer too.

Unfortunately, for me, I really dislike boards where the key switches stand proud of the body. One reason I can't stand most Corsair boards (aside from their questionable longevity).

UK users are sadly limited to either Red or Brown. A range of alternate keycaps and switches are however available directly from Mountain's online store..

So if you want one of the alternative switch sets, available as standard to US buyers, you will have to pay another £34,99 to £44.99...

I'd just buy a basic keyboard, a numerical keypad or some kind of other external controller (I use a touchscreen but that does require looking to aim) and a media controller. It would likely come to far less and you'd not be relying on this small company keeping going for extra bits and bats.

I can see some people will see the appeal of this, being able to fiddle with individual switches, etc. But it seems so niche and such a high price I can't see the advantages or financial viability for the mass market.

The concept itself was bad enough, but right from the start of that video it seems to show that the reality is even worse, especially when you see how the chain behaves.

I like it, but it is hudely overpriced. For £100-130 I'd probably consider it. At £230, even as a leftie, it's hard to imagine I would be getting £170 extra value over my current £60 keyboard with cherry brown switches and media keys. Four special keys and a media thingy which might be gimmicky or might be really nifty is admittedly interesting, but I could buy an Elgato stream deck for that money. Maybe two...
