Scan 3XS-OC System Review

There's more than one method of building of high-performance system. Scan has shown us that. Going down the enthusiasts' route of overclocking the CPU and motherboard has paid dividends for the 3XS-OC system. Scan chose to add an extra 20% FSB and RAM oomph to a regular 2.6GHz 200MHz FSB Pentium 4 and ABIT Springdale motherboard. Some of Corsair's finest (and most expensive) RAM was used to guarantee the preferred synchronous FSB and dual-channel DRAM combination. We're pleased that Scan has been able to manage it without the need for additional voltage to the CPU

Actually looks pretty respectable for the cost. Nice TFT, nice big case, fair results from graphical benchmarks and others. Scan are certainly working hard on getting a good rep for themselves.

The beast of a chassis that is the Casetek 1018BM. It's primary steel with a lockable plastic front. Its dimensions of, approximately, 540mm (h) x 550mm (d) x 205mm (w) put it between mid and tower classes. Heavy-duty steel construction pushes its base weight to over 15kg. The complete system weighed around 20kg, so portability isn't high on its list of features. After having used aluminium cases over the past year, steel chassis seem cumbersome and needlessly heavy. Extra weight is the price one pays for a cheaper material. Four plastic feet help to even out the load and maintain stability.

you know for the system, i see that the prices for CPU ect are much more cheaper. the only problem is that i need to choose some stuff that i do not need and do not want in my system. Can i just send the 3XS team the spec that i want?
