Intel started off 2006 with a bang. Just a few days in to the new year and it officially launched the newest iteration of its mobile Centrino brand and HEXUS took a look at what made Napa tick on launch date. Briefly comprising of Intel's new dual-core Yonah CPU, i945-Express chipset, and PRO/Wireless 3945ABG WiFi card, Napa replaced Sonoma as the mobile performance platform of choice.
ASUSTeK, in preparation for the release, had quietly shipped in a Napa-powered laptop to HEXUS. The medium-sized ASUS A6JA packed in an Intel Centrino Duo T2500 CPU (Yonah core), a ATI Radeon X1600 PCIe GPU, and an array of other tasty componentry in a laptop that weighed in at under 3kg and sported a 15.4-inch wide-aspect display. Read on to find out what we thought of dual-core CPUs on the go.
