But honestly, does anyone here actually settle for an X1600XT anymore? AFAIK, most ppl are going for the 7600 camp..
Perhaps a 10 way 7600 round up would be interesting?
That gigabyte has a interesting cooler. for some reason I think having a heatsink sticking out of the case is awesome :P
I got the Gigabyte card for £71.09 including VAT at MicroDirect. It was full retail boxed, exactly the same but the software was only a drivers CD, PowerDVD and that car racing game. It's £129 in the price chart of the review!!!!

were you not tempted to run a batch of crossfire tests with that motherboard?
I managed to get 2 of the gecube cards for £100 off ebay and they perform fantastically in crossfire, matching a single x1900xt!
I see that as a viable alternative to an expensive single card set up.

Man that was a good review and very useful for those of us with 2nd or 3rd rigs in the house or building some for the kidz etc.
If you`re doing a multimedia rig, then of course you need vivo but a reasonable gamer for the kidz doesn`t really.
And that saves me a lot of research across all the web sites (apart from prices) cos some of the web sales sites have very poor or even incorrect info.
Plenty of good info without going over the top and I look forward to other reviews in that vein.

The £70 card lacks the Dual DVI, GDDR3 and VIVO of the card in the review. Maybe a few other small things but those are the main ones. Still a good price, just not quite the bargain you though I'm afraid.
PS: Great review guys, just what I needed. Anychance of a 7600 shootout? :D
