    HEXUS.reviews :: HIS X1650XT IceQ Turbo Dual DL-DVI 256MB

    ATI's Radeon X1650 XT is a reasonable SKU and HIS' pre-overclocked IceQ Turbo version is decent for the most part. However, when judged against the competition in the same price bracket it's found wanting. The simple fix is to release it at the sub-£100 retail mark, pushing its bang4buck metric up. We doubt that will happen, though.

    Nice review.
    I remain a big fan of the bang for buck aspect, I think it's one of the most useful graphs to help buying decisions.

    The new bang for buck thing is very nice, helps give a bit more clarity to what you get for your money. The 7900GS and 1950Pro look fantastic deals at the moment though for not alot more than the 1650XT, hopefully when it hits the market it will retail at less than the expected RRP (or at least drop quite quickly as few will be buying them!)

    x1650xt comes out too late.
    It can't beat the 7600gt in most games, but has a higher price.
    who would buy it.
    I think x1950pro would be a better buy than x1650xt.

    I've always had ATI cards so far but it's clear here that it would be a better choice to go with the N-vidia 7600gt. They are similarly priced, the 7600gt is faster and will give better results (in fact it can equal if not beat the 7800gs in some circumstances) as it is such a great card for its price. The ATI X1650XT just can't compete with it.
