    ATi ALL-IN-WONDER X800 XT

ATI's Multimedia team took the time to get right a product that will appeal to many. Expensive in X800 XT guise (there are other X800 AIWs which I'll talk about in a separate article to come soon) but worth it if seriously fast 3D and excellent multimedia ability in a single slot is what you're after. MSRP is $499.

Seriously recommended for the well-heeled enthusiast that wants the integration of performance and multimedia features in one small space.

I think the lag in input when I play my PS2 via the AIW is down to the buffer for timeshifting, since I also get it on a Theater 550 PRO. I'll investigate further, but it seems likely that it's the case.

No mention of PAL boards availability in the review.

Which manufacturer and lead time to possible stock availablity at reliable European outlets , e-tailers . Komplett , DABS ,SCAN etc.

I bring this up because you 'HEXUS' were able to review a PAL USB2 TV Wonder back in OCTOBER 04 and these are yet to be seen in the PAL retail market .

From my searches I can find neither , if you have links or info it would be great to know.

In addition to SciDocs query into PAL, there was also no mention of HDTV support. I am looking to do a SFF HTPC with watercooling, and have been waiting for the AIW X800XT, but still need to know if it will do HDTV...

Anyone got any ideas if Theatre 200 has HDTV? I had seen some mention that it didn't, and also that Microsoft Media Centre Edition didn't support the Theatre 200 chip.

I'd be really surprised if it did, considering the X800XT is a few years old now and HDCP wasn't even made a requirement for HD Ready until Jan 2005.
