Cooler Master gives it large with the gargantuan GeminII heatsink. Is it a case of bigger is better, or has Cooler Master gone too far?

i want one. thats so huge, lucky for me the 830 is my next case.
dammit - if they hadn't made it quite so tall, it'd passively cool my HTPC (still gonna measure it...)
I still can't get my head round it, I've had it a few days now and it is just absolutely huge.
i have a Silverstone Sugo 01E case using the NT06 heatsink passively mounted beneath the PSU fan.
do you think the same could be done with this Gemini 2 fan?
I think that question is best aimed at Silverstone Tek, as I don't have a Sugo to test it with.
Matt.
yeh i mean as in a tempreture comparison against say the stock cooling v's that kilo beast of a motherboard snapper :D
i would imagine in my case asus 32 SLI thingy with heatpipes around the CPU would be nice and cool with 2 120mm fans blowing over it all !
im so bloody tempted to go buy it on the off chance and sell it on if it dont fit !
or keep it till i get the 830
I am in the middle of the biggest group test HEXUS has ever undertaken, this will be a part of it :)
That is huge!
I wonder what strain that puts on the motherboard due to size and weight?
Matt - I'll gladly swap you a fiver for it ;)
ok, give us a little hint does it cool well?
i just hope it securely fastens to the motherboard, almost a kilo landing on top of your graphics card = no more pci-e connection:(
Soon Cases will mount inside the heatsinks.... :(
awesome cooling for the vrms and memory with that thing, very nice :)!
