I'm picking Allen up at approx 10:15 from Hailsham Tesco, which leaves 2 seats empty in my car. If anyone else wants to park in Hailsham then let me know (I don't know the area well enough to help find somewhere to park though).
At the Eastbourne end I'll be parking 0.9 miles/20 mins walk from the pier according to google maps.
traffic - picked up the wife from work yesterday at 5 - she even left early , and it still took nearly 45 minutes to reach our house.
traffic was backed up from the dual carriage way (golden jubilee way) all the way back into town.
Do you reckon it'll be easier to go through Willingdon rather than take the dual carriageway then?
I'm torn, I fractured my arm, a fortnight ago, so driving has it's appeal as I won't have to lug all my kit on my back (as I would normally). But I wonder if it would be less effort to actually do the whole train thing. Ah such first world problems.

OK, so Bagnaj, Cat and myself will be arriving at the pier around 11:00. TheAnimus should already be there as he's on his way now. Gerrard's train is turning up at 11:13, so should be at the pier by 11:30. No news on Flibb's arrival time yet. I will PM him my mobile in case he cannot get there before 11:30 as I would imagine we want to find a place to plonk down shortly after everyone's arrival. It will get extremely busy today, it was very busy yesterday even with all the rain, but today's forecast is very good and most people's day off.
I should turn up around 12:00. Will text you my phone number.
I managed to catch an earlier train (national rail website massively over estimates the time to transfer in London!) and should get there about half an hour earlier.
I parked at the ncp, good location cheaper than the park and ride, but might fill quickly due to the can't park fairly in tight spots brigade.
I'm currently at urban ground coffee place reading a book, so anyone else who's early feel free to drop by!

Just got home (went to parents on the way back). I think I may possibly be the most sunburnt I've ever been. I look ridiculous.
