    advert server failing to respond

    advert.adserve.de is failing ot respond properly and stopping the hexus site from initially loading.

    can you take a look at this please.

    pagead2.googlesyndication... or something very similar. Freezing article pages about 1/4 loaded.

    EDIT: Just loaded a thread and got the same pause, with the same address. Seems to be the blue google text ads in the top banner.

    advert.adserver.de appears to be resolving now.

    But also - the strange thing is hexus appears to have stopped using this url to get adverts.

    I can only sumise that
    a.) you removed advert.adserver.de from the advert provider list
    b.) one of your advert providers was forwarding to this URL.

    The problem has gone, but so has the troubled (for me) machine's hostname.

    I'm telling fibs.

    the problem is still there and just to correct myself, the correct hostname failing to serve adverts is

    adserver.adtech.de

    it IS resolving ok - but certainly not serving adverts properly.
