    Hexus company ratings

I just posted a rating against ebuyer in the Hexus ratings. I intentionally did not rate their RMA & customer service as I've not had to use either. As a result my overall score against them is a 1, even though I posted a 4 against every other category.

When I try to edit my rating, it allows me to amend the text, but does not allow me to update the scores.

I don't think it's particularly fair that I have now scored a poor rating against a company that I rate highly. Furthermore, I don't think its fair that Hexus users are expected to guess at aspects of a company they haven't used in order to properly rate them according to their experience.

I apologise if I have posted in the wrong area, but I couldn't see a more appropriate forum.

I had the same problem when I rated Scan the first time.

Like yourself I'd never used the RMA service so didn't score them on that and overall score came out quite low

Makes a bit of a nonsense of the scores against the companies then, doesn't it?

I either score their advertised services (ie if they seem reasonable, or if they're seeming to go against trading rules), or simply put 3 out of 5 as an average not good/not bad.

No, what I meant is - how many other companies have bad scores because someone used a reasonable assumption that if you hadn't used part of their service then not rating it was the correct thing to do...
