    Intel 'crack' adverts

Sorry peeps, but these are really annoying. Can you disable the noise that it makes? Rather than making me click it makes me go elsewhere!

Oh yes... THOSE adverts. Man they are a pain in the ass. Irritating advertising just doesn't make any sense to me... it's just aggravating, and most definitely doesn't make me want to buy anything.

Thanks for the AWESOME post - I know the adverts are annoying and we do our best to make sure all adverts on HEXUS are targetted, and relevant to our readers, far better than most publications out there.

    Cheers

I appreciate that you are running a business and all. Fair enough. I just don't think that that sort of advertising works. But if people are willing to pay you for having it, then that's fine with me as Hexus is a great site. I wasn't having a go at Hexus, I was more having a winge at the people that pay for that sort of advertising.

Yep - we are running a buisness here, and we work real hard to make sure we onmly use relevant adverts, and jus tso ye knows the advertising does work. We have a heap of repeat buisness, this is purely one which slipped through the net with the embedded audio.

    Re: Intel 'crack' adverts

So do they measure the success of the adverts by the number of mouse overs?

I'm confused - are you actually trying to 'pick' an argument?

Everyone judges advertising on a series of things - click through, people buying, branding etc.
