Maybe you get a bigger av depending on post count. Just think when you reach 12000 posts you can have a 1600x1200px Av :)
The thing that is annoying me is that people complaining about how their post count isn't high enough for an av use up loads of posts complaining about it! Dargh! Anyway, Ive got me title now, at least till I can find a better one, so Im happy. :)
And why is everyone so hung up on avatars anyway, when a sig pic is so much more obvious and bigger anyway? Just be grateful you can use the forums at all, I've learned loads from hanging around Hexus, Im hardly going to complain just 'cause I dont have an avatar!!

The comment that I originaly made was just tongue in cheek, a joke in other words.
It does annoy me when I see content sent like Woots or whatever to Hexus forums which helps people in there count, to seek the Holy Grail of an Avatar.
There are plenty of forums where an Avatar is available from day one,
for those who are desperate.
