Yet Another Linking Problem

OK, so you uncheck it from the bottom and links work.
Then when you quick edit the post, it automatically gets blank titles in (and changes the url to the previous title) and screws all the links up.

eg:

[URL="http://www.xxx.com"]stuff[/URL.]

is becoming

[URL="http://stuff"][/URL.]

and then disappears completely when you try to do advanced edit to the post.
I think it only happens with some URLs. I am not sure what is causing it...

Removed the re-write for external URL's - it's just too unreliable.
