    Forums suggestion

At present to get to the first actual post in general discussion I have to scroll down well over a page on my 1440x900 screen. There is 5 subforums some of which are hardly used. After that there 9 stickies to scroll past too. It's a bit silly to have to scroll down all that way just to get to the actual content.

It's the same in many other of the forums, tons of stickies and the subforums you have to scroll down miles to get to the real content.

    Errm,

Stickies are there because they are relevant to current users - sub forums are there because they are subforms, I am not quite sure what you are asking for with your post?

Are you asking us to remove all stickies and sub forums so you can get to content quicker?

    Re: Forums suggestion

I'm suggesting that you thin them out. Not get rid of them entirely, though certainly some subforums that are barely used might be.

Half the stickies are pointless as they are now old and no one ever reads them.

At the end of the day the content is what people are wanting, you wouldn't force users to scroll down an entire page on the hexus home page why should they need to on the forums.

    Re: Forums suggestion

We will look at it - but for new members alot of the stickies are revelent and will remain so.

We will see if there is a way to reduce some of the spacing, as for the number of subforums we will only remove them if they don't see any traffic for at least three months.
