anyone else getting a handful of 'there is a problem with the database' error messages?
We are aware of an issue with database stuff.
In a matter of days, it will be sorted :)
by the server upgrade? :D

New server? Does this mean Hexus will speed up a bit too? Been a bit slow lately, search page taking ages to load (+30seconds search time).
If HEXUS is too slow, then I am sorry, but remember the forums are free, and unlike a lot of retailers forums we dont make any money or gain from them.
We are also logging information about all of you with the new site and forums so this is caning the server
No worries, that wasn't a complaint, I understand it's free and don't wanna take the Michael. Just letting you know, and wondering if the spanky new server would help? What is it BTW?
Out of interest, what is logged (apart from IP addresses)?
heh :) servers hey .... we've had issues @ work with a few once :( gawd that was so soul destroying.
Good luck with the upgrades folks and hopefully hexus will zoom back later once all this is sorted :)

PS - Al. they're probably logging information such as demographic info, ISP, Operating system, Browser, and other technical stuff like that :)
We log, OS, where you have been, what you have read, what banners you have clicked on etc - nothing which is covered by the data protection act.
Who said anything about new servers? Sorry - please don't assume things.
