    girly forum

Would it be possible for the female members of hexus to have their own elitist forum? im aware of something similiar existing for the male members.... and although the ratio of women to men is alot lower, it may attract more female members. This has come up in conversation between me and another female member this week, as we notice that alot of threads in GD are based on computers or software.... this doesnt encourage us to post as we dont have any knowledge on these subjects. Without causing offence to anyone, we are both finding hexus at the moment very quiet and boring, we think it may help us to post more....

Just a suggestion, thank you for reading this

I think it's a great idea, the wife is a member here but does not post much due to this,
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

yeah i agree, we've got a nice community here, and i think there's a lot more female members than we think, they just dont post. I know it's a computer orientated site, but it would be nice to talk about other things, which i thought GD was for, but that's just turning into as much computery talk as all the others. Please can we have our own forum mr david sir? *flutters eyelashes*

LOL sorry about this in advance but, how can you complain that GD is mainly Computer and Software related? ITS A TECHNICAL FORUM.

But probably a good idea, means we dont have to read all about periods when we mistake acronym like PMS for computing terms

    LMAO @ Az

Lynni (and indeed other female members) there's nothing saying you can't post "girly threads" in General Discussion, you know

I'm not being rude or owt, but if we have too many individual forums it might get a bit messy.

And yes, I'm an 18 year old Blonde haired, blue-eyed beauty... ^o)

    read my post above.

GD = Genderal Discussion - i read that, when veiwing a computer related forum, to mean theres other things besides computer talk in there, but recently, i've gotta agree with lynni, it's been taken over with such threads as "what started your love of computers?" "how many computers do you own?" "how much have you spent on hardware this year?" - not really "general" discussion now is it?

ok, so maybe not a girly forum - altho how do you prove someone's a bloke to the other "private elite male members only" forum? - how about a seperate computer discussions forum? where such threads as those above could go, and general discussion can be reserved for recreeational, unrealated discussion?

well, theres no proof your female (no offnece ) so youd get random people signin up new accounts as girls perving on the forums...

also, if you have a girls only forum, youll have to have a lads only forum to make it fair

What about a general Haemaphrodite *sp* forum, or a general transexual forum. Only joking. I can see the point the lovely ladies are making and i've gotta say its not a bad idea
