Forum Suggestion - New Thread Count

OK, I think this is the right place to put this, and it's probably already implemented (took me a year to find the "Go to first new post" button! ), but would it be possible add a count of how many threads have new posts next to the number of people viewing on the forum headings? Not sure if that made sense, but since I'm usually on a crap connection, it would nice to know whether the "Last Post" displayed is the only one in that sub-forum. I know it's only saving one page, but it would help "streamline" my browsing (and I'm sure other people's as well)!

Of course, if it's too much effort for what it's worth, or it's just a dumb idea, then just feel free to say I fail or something. Probably just as well we don't have something opposite to the "Thanks" button!

I guess it would depend on whether there is a vB mod that can do this, and updating the skin to reflect it.

Personally I just use New Posts

It doesn't seem like a useful enough feature for me to go to the effort of putting it in (the more template changes I make the more heartache I create for myself during upgrades, for example).

However, if such a think finds its way into vBulletin, we'll surely turn it on

Yup - to the left of the thread title in the "Thread / Thread Starter" column

There's a go to last post icon too to the right of the username in the "Last Post" column

Oops! Thought there was a suggestion subforum somewhere; must've missed it. Thanks for pointing out the "New Posts" at the top; never noticed that one before. Glad I'm not the only one who didn't notice the "Go To New Post" button!

Fair point if it's a lot of work; just figured since we had "number viewing" already, it wouldn't be that difficult to add. Anyway, thought I would ask (have a lot of spare time at work this week ).
