    Hexus.net

The logo at the top left of every page points to the main FORUMS page. However, directly underneath this there is a link in text to the main page...

To get a bit more pimpage to the main Hexus website, why not direct the clickable image to hexus.net?

Or is there a reason for this I have missed?

    Cheers
    Nick

yeh it does seem a bit wierd.. esp when there is the :

    HEXUS.net Forums > HEXUS.net Web Scene > HEXUS.net Suggestion/Input/Feedback

bit where you can go back to the main forum page easily...

Because the standard approach in web design is to have the logo go to the root of the site you are in. Since the forums don't have a menu bar like the main site then it makes more sense to not confuse people (and I'm principally considering the visually impaired here) by sending them off to another site which they weren't aware of.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea, we're just trying to conform to accessibility rules

I've allways thought it was a bit pointless ... surely having something that says Hexus.net taking you to forums.hexus.net is going to confuse someone rather than taking it to what it actually says in the image.

are there any links to the main page from the forums? if you arent going to make the big 'hexus.net' picture point to there, how about the one on the right which says 'Uk Technology, News and Reviews"?

saves lazy people having to type www.

There is a small link at the bottom of the page...
"Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."

I thought that this was the case, but just a suggestion
