I didn't realise vbstats was free. If so then I'll let Shorty decide if he wants to implement it on the forums or not

Any news on this? I think it's a good idea, and also something else to look at.

However, I just hope that people do not abuse the stats by posting tosh in GD :-/

Only works with VB 2.x.x

It also adds an unnecessary load on the forums database server. While it's nice to have stats, it's an overhead to do an extra 5-6 queries per page generation. You can't cache that sort of activity or you will get false results. These forums fly as they are now, it's not prudent to add a function that could in the future impact performance. We would only have to remove it and then members would miss/complain about it's removal.

The other stats you linked to: http://mwarhead.motherboardfaqs.com/stats.php is a component part of the E107 content management system, nice but very bloated (way too many queries and too much object creation) and not suitable for HEXUS.

Fairplay... I think I'd prefer faster forums than stats!

If i remember right m8 last time we had stats you just set your Opera browser to reset itself every 5 seconds on the page so it looked like you spent all your time online here!
