    Public notice of winners

    Can we please receive public notice of winners for competitions run by hexus?

    I can't remember how many competitions I've entered and not once have I heard of someone winning.

    You don't have to divulge the persons full details or entire name either. You can simply display MR. (insert surname) or Mrs (insert surname) has won which ever prize was up for grabs. Or even better ask them to provide an alias for public viewing.

    I see no feasible reason for this not to be done and can't for the life of me understand why it isn't getting done in the first place. It's good publicity to display winners of competitions and even better if you get them to put forward a testimonial of some sort.

    Re: Public notice of winners

    It's a very good point and I'm trying to sort out a slicker method for handling this sort of stuff, but we're a bit swamped at the moment.

    Trust me though, there's some nice stuff in the pot, simmering away.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Maybe, but it's more about making the whole process easier to administer.

    Only open comps to members? Personally I think that's fair & would boost your signups (probably) & you could then give out forum names easily enough.

    Can you give us an idea of how many people enter your comps, only roughly of course. I like to know what pitiful odds I am getting

    Surely there are a handful of people who get it wrong, even if it is because they were rushing and clicked the wrong radio button.

    Re: Public notice of winners

    You guys are right.

    We are working on a ton of things behind the scenes and this is one of the things which will be fixed.

    The plan is to work closely with the people who we do the competitions with - notify all of you if you've won or not - and lots of other things which will make entering competitions even tastier on HEXUS.

    We will make winners publicaly known - the biggest issue we have is when we contact people them not responding to us - and we re-draw after 14 days.
