excluding forums in searches

dunno if this is possible, but...

i know that when searching you can specify individual forums to search in, but what about the opposite - being able to specify a search in all foums except certain ones

only reason i ask is if you're looking for some general info you may not want to limit your search to individual forums, but what then happens is half the search results come from the "for sale" forum where ppl are/were selling something related to your search - there's often no useful info in these posts & it takes a while to go through your search results looking for any info you're after.

Not for general search no.

For "new posts" search, there is a way of making it ignore forums via their forumid.
