a tip for hexus forums

i didnt know where to put this but wouldnt a chatbox be nice ?

It's a possibility, don't think it has been raised before.

We did have an IRC channel previously, which I think would provide a better option though.

but haveing a chatbox on the website would be better evry1 can use it evry1 can see it

a new thought how about putting a chatbox for like each section like for example in hexus hardware we could have one people can ask questions and get replies quickly

I think it was discussed before, and the idea rejected. But I could be misremembering, or it could have been on another forum.

Personally, I think the whole point of a forum is to post, not to "chat" and that it would likely detract from the forum. And, there ere are plenty of ways to chat without doing it on a forum.

But it's not my decision.

I keep forgetting about that and I'm always on another channel on quakenet :crazy:

I like the use of the term 'lurk' there :p I could just see the chatbox being an open goal for the spamers though TBH.

Yes, we all saw too much of SiM's boobs :) But quality boobs none-the-less.

Never seen this on a forum and thought it worked well... just detracts from the actual posting.

Most people get very rapid responses anyway, and on top of that it's searchable in the future and people are less inclined to write in text speak.
