    Forum filters?

Not sure I like the fragmentation accross too many forum topics with 'too many' being a subjective thing. The less popular forums don't see the traffic to get questions answered so the temptation is to post in the most popular forum even though it's off topic just to get some response. So how to widen the participation and maintain many specific topics is what I was thinking.

Well the whole thing is essentially a database so you could have just have one uber forum with everything and then apply filters based on user preferences to remove by topic down to a manageable but personalised single forum page. Sounds good in theory but would it all just grind to a halt with the demands on the system.

I suggest you contact vBulletin then as they are the developers of the forum software. What you are referring to is a major rewrite of their application and not something we can implement
