    Sport and Fitness forum?

Was wondering if we could have one of these i know that OcUK have one and its quite a big hit over there, mayb it would go down well with the hexus forums? Sport and fitness are quite popular activites but we dont realy have any where to talk about them currently. Its just an idea anyway sorry if this has been posted before

As is the case with all forum requests, if enough threads are raised in general discussion then we will consider it.

As an aside, your sig is way too big, please adjust it to a maximum of 475 pixels wide by 75 pixels high or it will be removed

Ive done as requested, but im not being funny or cheeky in any way here, but theres loads and loads of members with signatures which are way bigger than what mine was previously, some are in excess of 500 x 125 pixels. I dont want to be a party pooper or nething to these members but are they going to be told about their signatures sizes to?

If anyone posts in the forum I moderate and I see it then yes. If they post in another forum it is up to the mods there to raise it. Feel free to pm any mod if you believe someone else's sig is too large, we are trying to ensure users get a good experience on the forum even if they are on dialup or have a low resolution, that's the reason behind trying to keep sigs small

Thanks for your quick response and action, it is much appreciated although I didn't mean lose the sig entirely

I think I suggested a sports forum a while back, but apparently there was a previous attempt during the reign of the old forums that was a bit of a flop.

As an aside Az, have you been told about the rogue motorsport forum??

just want to say im on 56k dial up sharing with my brother and all the signatures on these forums load easily,
my resolution is 1024*480 and its all fine
i dont see why we really need to have such small sigs my signature loads on mine and my brothers computer before u have time to scroll down the page,

im pointing something out here that all you broad band and fast internet poeple may have missed, 56k aint that that bad at all! (unless your trying to download something 10 meg plus...these signatures however are -250k)

ps please dont force me too change my signature if u cant see what im saying here, im very proud of it, being very bad with uploading things and websites it was a great acheivement for me over half term!
thanks alot i hope u understand my view point,
    Pete

You're entitled to your viewpoint however we have the rules to make the forums enjoyable for everyone. The main issues with sigs is height and yours is at the upper limit but still acceptable. Bandwidth is only part of the story and some people have sigs twice the height of yours. Try reading any thread with a double post by a user with a sig that size and then you'll see why we have the rule

    Still there

It's not a caching problem - I've just this second formatted my hard drive - unless you're using some sort of hard core everything proof caching procedure to speed the hexus servers up

It only appears when you click on the community link (so you get a display of just the community forums)

I'll try and post to it.. see if it flags up.....

Got to ask - prob best not to guess forum IDs. It was inactive for a reason.

    It has now gone.

In fact a lot of diet/fitness threads are appearing in the Hotpot- perhaps a subforum there might be possible? I was thinking of writing a piece on the subject and offering it up for stickydom as a lot of the questions are asked over and over again.
