    Skyrim benchmark article request

    Hi Hexus,

Skyrim is a very popular game, even on the PC, but on release it had some fairly odd system requirements, especially in the CPU department.

That was well characterised by a couple of hardware sites reviews* which have since become reference material for recommending systems to build/upgrade/buy in order to play Skyrim well. Thing is, patch 1.4 brings some significant changes in CPU usage, and I suspect these guides are now out of date and people will be looking for a new definitive article.. Hexus could be the site to do it

It's especially good timing now, because the current patch level is 1.3, while it's easy to flip to 1.4 via the steam beta opt in (and back again), so you'd be able to do a 1.3 vs 1.4 comparison, as well as the usual questions of how well Skyrim plays:

    -As clock speed increases
    -As core count increases
-Between different architectures (mainly Intel vs AMD)

    Cheers!

    Re: Skyrim benchmark article request

Didn't know 1.4 was available that way. Cheers.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
